Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed his country's solidarity and commitment to the Government and people of Liberia.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo arrives in the country Friday on a two-day official visit.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has expressed pride in what the West African nation Ghana has become, acknowledging its economic growth and new status as a middle income country in the sub-region.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has extended to her Ghanaian counterpart, Mr. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of the Republic of Ghana as they celebrate their 60th Independence Anniversary on Monday, March 6.

The Ghanaian Government has invited President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who is also Chairperson of ECOWAS Authority, to attend the official ceremonies marking the 60th Independence Anniversary of that country as Guest of Honor.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has departed the country for Accra, Ghana to participate in the inauguration of President-elect Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo-Addo scheduled for Saturday, January 7.
