Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has outlined the club’s ambitions for the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.
After four matches, the Kpando-based side remains unbeaten and currently tops the league table with 10 points.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Hayford reflected on the team’s progress since his arrival.
"When I took over the club, the club was battling with relegation, but we managed to escape relegation, and last season we managed to finish in the top four, which is good for a team like Heart of Lions," he said.
Looking ahead to the current campaign, the experienced tactician emphasized consistency and stability as key goals.
"This season, what we want to achieve this season is to finish in a safe position in the first round and further finish in a safe place at the end of the season," he added.
Heart of Lions will look to extend their impressive unbeaten run when they face fellow unbeaten side Hearts of Oak in a highly anticipated Matchday 5 fixture at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday.
