Enzo Fernandez, the Chelsea midfielder, has voiced his apprehensions regarding the team’s current position in the ongoing Premier League.
Despite significant investments made over the past two years, Chelsea finds themselves struggling in mid-table, currently occupying the 10th position after 29 games.
In a spirited display against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night, Fernandez played a pivotal role in Chelsea’s dramatic 4-3 victory, showcasing his importance to the team.
Speaking about the team’s struggles and lack of consistency this season, Fernandez expressed his delight in playing for Chelsea, and he is hopeful that the Blues will come back stronger next season to compete at a higher level.
“I really enjoy playing here at Chelsea. Happy? Yes, of course!. I don’t like our place in the standing, that angers me and my teammates. We want to win,” he told DAZNPortugal.
Despite the concerns. the argentinian believes that Chelsea will improve their performance next season despite their lack of consistency in the Premier League in this campaign.

“But it’s a process and let’s hope next season will be much better for us,” he added.
The 23-year-old has been involved in eight goals for Chelsea in all competitions this season, yet the collective performance of his team remains his main focus as Chelsea lie in 10th place on the league log in this campaign.
Also, Chelsea’s win over Manchester United boosted their European chances this season, and with nine games remaining for the Blues, a Europa League slot remains within reach ahead of the 2024/2025 season.
