Nations FC head coach Kassim Mingle has urged his players to be more clinical in front of goal as they prepare to face Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa.
The match comes at a crucial time for both sides. Medeama are aiming to recover from their 1-0 loss to Karela United, which halted their early momentum after back-to-back victories had lifted Ibrahim Tanko’s team into the top three.
Nations FC, on the other hand, have seen their bright start fade in recent weeks, dropping five points in their last two games, including a frustrating draw with Samartex.
Mingle, who has been working closely with his squad during training this week, stressed the importance of converting chances.
“When we were training this week, we saw their attitude, both in training and everything. They learned their lesson that in football, when the chances come and you don't convert them, at the end of the day, you end up drawing at home,” he said.
Nations currently sit fifth on four points, two behind Medeama, but their defensive record remains a concern, having conceded in each of their last four away matches.
