Togolese referee Kossi Fabrice Senyo has been appointed to officiate the final of the WAFU B U17 Boys Championship between Ghana and hosts Ivory Coast.
The highly anticipated clash will take place at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro on Sunday.
Senyo will be supported by a strong team of officials. Benin’s Koudogbo Augustine Kougbemede has been named Assistant Referee 1, while Lamien Dofinte Adolphe of Burkina Faso will serve as Assistant Referee 2.
Morocco’s Mohamed El Baroudi will act as the fourth official, and Nigeria’s Emmanuel Omada has been designated as the reserve assistant referee. The Match Commissioner is Galley Yao Senam from Togo.
The appointments underline the significance of the final, which has been billed as a true “West African derby” between two of the region’s most exciting youth sides. Ghana recovered strongly after a slow start in the tournament, while Ivory Coast have been buoyed by passionate home support.
With silverware and regional bragging rights at stake, the final promises to be a showcase of emerging talent and the competitive spirit that defines West African football.
