Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams has described the Ghana Premier League, saying it is in a sorry state.The country's top-flight competition has been marred with hooliganism, poor officiating,lack of a headline sponsor, and poor television coverage.Adams admits there is work to be done to restore the league to its former glory.Our Premier League is in its sorry state, Kofi Adams told LUV FM.Underfunded, poor discipline, [poor] corporate governance system, fan indiscipline, lack of security, we are not even coaching our fans.We need to look at all these areas to try and up our game, he added.The 49-year-old was sworn in by President John Mahama on Friday. The Member of Parliament for Buem constituency has replaced Mustafa Ussif, who served as Minister of Sports from 2021 under the New Patriotic Party, led by Nana Akufo-Addo.
