Swedru All Blacks will be seeking to end their difficult run of results when they host giants Hearts of Oak at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The league returnees come into the match under growing pressure after suffering their sixth defeat of the campaign, the joint-second highest tally after nine matches. With only seven points to their name, All Blacks sit 15th on the table, a point above the relegation zone, and will be eager to revive their season.
Despite their struggles, All Blacks have been impressive at home. All seven of their points have been secured in Swedru, where they have suffered just one defeat in four outings. They have scored six goals and conceded only two in front of their home supporters, a record that offers some confidence ahead of the clash. Coach Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi will rely on that strong home form as he pushes for a much-needed response from his side.
Hearts of Oak, meanwhile, are eager to bounce back from their Super Clash defeat to Asante Kotoko, which brought an end to their eight-match unbeaten start to the league campaign and their 19-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s team remain firmly in the chase near the top of the table, sitting fifth with 16 points. The Phobians have been resolute defensively this season and are the league’s best away performers, having taken ten points on the road. They will look to extend that form in Swedru as they aim to return to winning ways.
