The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Alhaji Baba Osman Daney as Chairman of the U16 Boys Management Committee, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening youth football structures across the country.
Alhaji Baba Osman Daney, President of newly promoted Division One League side Sankara Nationals FC and Director of Finance at the National Youth Authority, brings a blend of football leadership and administrative expertise to the role. His appointment aligns with the GFA’s vision of nurturing young talent through strong governance and structured development pathways.
Supporting him will be Gabriel Godwin Kwao, Vice Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, who will serve as Vice Chairman of the committee. Kwao’s extensive experience in grassroots football administration is expected to be an asset in shaping the U16 program.
Other members include Masawudu Ahmed, Founder and President of Division One League newcomers Ebony FC; Kweku Sagoe, Head of Marketing at Nsuopon Fidelity FC; and Siaka Musah, President of Dormaa Unity FC. Collectively, the committee brings diverse expertise from across Ghana’s football landscape.
The U16 Boys Management Committee will oversee player scouting, technical development programs, and the smooth organisation of competitions at this critical age level. The GFA believes the structure will form a solid foundation for producing future stars for the Black Starlets and, ultimately, the senior national teams.
