Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the English Premier League Player of the Week after his heroic display for Bournemouth against Brighton on matchday 4.
The Ghana striker scored and delivered an assist as the Cherries defeated Brighton to continue their fine start to the campaign.
Semenyo set up Alex Scott for the opener before netting from the spot to register his fifth goal-contribution of the 2024/25 season.
The 25-year-old will face competition from Manchester derby hero Erling Haaland, Arsenal's Martin Zubimendi and Lucas Begvall of Tottenham for the award. Also competing for coveted prize are Chelsea's Moises Caicedo, Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa, Robin Roefs of Sunderland and Newcastle's Nick Woltemade.
This is the second time the former Bristol City striker has been nominated for the award in the new season.
Meanwhile, Semenyo has also been named in the Team of the Week for the second time after four matches.
He only lost the Player of the Month award for August to Everton winger Jack Grealish.
