Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito says his side is carrying injuries, especially in midfield, but insists they are still prepared for the new season.
The Porcupine Warriors begin their 2025/26 league campaign against Berekum Chelsea on Saturday, and Zito believes the squad will step up even with key players missing. He explained that new signings will be given the chance to cover the gaps left by the injured players.
"In terms of injury we are still facing problems with injury when you look at the set of the midfield we are having Ntim is not likely we will get him in the first half of the season. Baba too is not well so we are left with only Antwi in the middle and then before the new ones come," he told AKSC Media.
"So we are trying to let them play together and then gel the team will build up but this upon all what I said doesn't mean we are not ready we are ready to play. But how people will be expecting it will gel it will take time but we will play,"
