Fatawu Mohammed has married his longtime girlfriend Sherifatu Awini Adam.
The coupled eloped at a beautiful ceremony in Tamale at the weekend, officially making them husband and wife.
The ceremony was attended by teammates, friends and officials of Karela United FC.
The former Hearts of Oak defender, who made his Ghana debit against South Africa in October 2021, has been dating Sherifatu for a while before deciding to settle with her.
The veteran defender will now switch his attention to the start of the new season after cutting short his honey moon period.
Mohammed has been a key figure for Karela United since joining them after leaving Hearts of Oak.
Last season he helped the team escaped the drop, with his experience coming to fore at crucial moment.
Karela United will begin the new season with a home game against Aduana Stars.
