Ghana’s Police Ladies will be looking to bounce back in their CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B campaign when they take on Benin’s Sam Nelly FC in a decisive Group B encounter on Match Day Two.
After suffering a narrow 2â1 defeat to Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens in their opening fixture, the Ghanaian side must secure a positive result to keep their qualification hopes alive. Police Ladies will be eager to register their first points of the tournament and stay in contention for a place in the next round.
Their opponents, Sam Nelly FC, approach the game with confidence after edging ASKO of Togo 1â0 in their debut match. Another victory would place the Beninese club in a commanding position in the group standings.
The match, scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro, will be officiated by Tanzanian referee Tatu Nuru Malogo, with Kadidia Dicko (Mali) and Ndeko Edwige Appia (Côte d’Ivoire) as assistants. Niger’s Zouwaira Souley Sani Souley will serve as Fourth Official.
Match Commissioner Ruth David (Nigeria), Referee Assessor Felicia Chibuogu Okwugba (Nigeria), and General Coordinator Klussey Delali Yvette (Togo) will provide additional oversight.
