Newly appointed Dreams FC head coach, Winfred Dormon, says the sacrifices he has made over the years have shaped him for the demands of his new role.
Dormon, who first joined Dreams FC in 2013, has alternated between the club and other assignments but played key roles in its rise.
He led the side from the Division Two League to the second tier in the 2015/16 season before serving under CK Akonnor in the technical team that secured Ghana Premier League promotion the following year.
Since then, he has worked as assistant coach to Vladislav ViriÄ, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, and most recently Karim Zito.
In July 2025, the club confirmed him as head coach, 12 years after his first stint began.
"I think that the sacrifices I have endured have prepared me for this moment, and I’m ready for this challenge,” Dormon told Joy Sports.
Dormon was Zito’s assistant during Dreams FC’s historic run to the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup semifinals.
He now faces the task of building on that continental success as the club enters a new campaign under his leadership.
