Ghanaian youngster Taufik Seidu made his senior bow for Atletico Madrid during their pre-season encounter with Portuguese giants FC Porto.
The 17-year-old, who was part of Diego Simeone's squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, was named in the team for the trip to Lisbon.
Seidu replaced club legend Koke at the start of the second half as the Spanish outfit lost 1-0 to Porto. Victor Froholdt netted the only goal at the stroke of half time.
"Step by step Atletico Madrid," posted the midfielder on Instagram, with captain Koke applauding.
Meanwhile, Seidu produced an impressive display on the night as he continues his quest for a role in the first team in the upcoming campaign.
Compared to France's Paul Pogba, Seidu is expected to feature prominently in La Liga for the Rojiblancos.
Despite being born in Ghana, the 17-year-old has represented Spain at junior levels, captaining the U17 team of La Roja.
