The head office of Bolt has confirmed that the Ghanaian driver who assaulted a passenger has been barred from operating using its application and is under investigation.
In a statement released by the ride-hailing company, the firm said it is cooperating with law enforcement agencies to ensure the said driver is brought to justice.
According to the ride-hailing app, it is committed to providing a safe experience for its users and will continue to take steps in that regard.

We are deeply concerned by the incident involving a Bolt driver rider on our platform.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers using our services remains our utmost priority. Bolt is actively investigating this complaint to ensure swift and appropriate action is taken.
Upon receipt of the complaint, our customer support team promptly reached out to both the affected rider and the driver in question. As a precautionary measure and to facilitate a thorough investigation, the driver has been blocked from accessing our platform.
We are fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities in their investigation of this matter. Our team stands ready to offer support and assistance to the individual who endured the assault in every possible manner.
Bolt reaffirms its commitment to providing a safe experience for all our users, and we will continue to take necessary steps to uphold this commitment.
