
Ghanaian teenage striker Derrick Gyamfi has completed a move to German lower division outfit KFC Uerdingen 05.
The 18-year-old forward joins KFC Uerdingen after leaving the U19 team of TSV Meerbusch, where he impressed with his goal-scoring instinct and composure in front of goal.
Derrick is ice-cold in front of goal and has already shown great potential during training, head coach Julian Sthr said. Hes eager to learn, and were excited about his development with us.
Before his stint at TSV Meerbusch, Gyamfi progressed through the youth systems of several notable German clubs, including Rot-Wei Oberhausen, FC Schalke 04, and MSV Duisburg.
Football runs in the familyDerrick is the younger brother of Emanuel Gyamfi, who recently secured a 250,000 transfer from FC Schalke 04 to Scottish Premiership side FC Aberdeen.
KFC Uerdingen will be hoping Derrick continues his promising rise as he adapts to senior football in Germany.
