Bibiani Goldstars announce contract extension with duo Ronald Frimpong and Appiah McCarthy

Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Goldstars have confirmed contract extension with duo Ronald Frimpong and Appiah McCarthy ahead of the 2025/26 football campaign.Despite not disclosing contract details, the pair have committed their future to the Miners as they gear up for a packed campaign.Frimpong joined Goldstars in August 2023 from Real Tamale United and has since established himself as a key member of the team. Throughout his career, the experienced attacker has racked up 15 goals and provided 6 assists in 112 Premier League games between RTU and Goldstars.Following the expiration of his contract last month, the forward has inked a new deal to continue his trade with the Miners.Appiah McCarthy, 28, arrived in Bibiani in January 2023 after exiting Ashantigold and has been an integral member of the team. Considered as one of the experienced players in the local scene, the midfielder has racked up 77 appearances in the Premier League and scored 8 goals.Following their Ghana Premier League success, the Bibiani-based club has booked a slot in Africa and are expected to represent Ghana in the upcoming CAF Champions League.Domestically, Goldstars will battle to defend their Premier League title and also compete in the Ghana FA Cup competitions.The Miners are keen on strengthening their squad for the new season in an attempt to make a meaningful impact next season.
