Pre-season: Ghanaian youngster Prince Adu Kwabena scores winning goal for Viktoria Plzen against Gornik Zabrze
Ghanaian forward Prince Adu Kwabena climbed off the bench on Tuesday afternoon to score the winning goal for Viktoria Plzen in their pre-season friendly match against Gornik Zabrze.The youngster missed out on a starting role for the friendly match but came on in the second half to make the difference for the Czech outfit to see off the Polish opposition.In the encounter between the two teams, Viktoria Plzen had a good start and opened the scoring after 24 minutes courtesy of a strike from Matej Vydra.On the half-hour mark, Gornik Zabrze equalized when Sondre Liseth found the back of the Plzen net with a fine strike to restore parity to the game.With no other goal in the first half, the two teams had it all to play for in the second half.Ghanas Prince Adu Kwabena who came on at halftime decided the match with a strike in the 51st minute to give Viktoria Plzen a 2-1 win at full-time.Adu Kwabena, 23, had an impressive campaign with Viktoria Plzen and hopes to do even better in the 2025/26 football season.A few more goals in pre-season will cement his place in the starting eleven of his team.
