GFA delegation visits family of late Asante Kotoko supporter Pooley at Asawase
A delegation of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has visited the family of the late Asante Kotoko supporter, Francis Yaw Frimpong (aka Pooley), at Asawase, Kumasi.The staunch Kotoko supporter was stabbed to death on Sunday, February 2, during the Ghana Premier League game against Nsoatreman FC in Nsoatre.On behalf of GFA President Kurt Okraku and the Executive Council, ExCo member Frederick Acheampong, alongside Ashanti RFA Vice Chairman Isaac Adu Agasper, visited the family of the late Asante Kotoko supporter today.The delegation extended the GFAs condolences and support to his wife, Mrs. Gifty Frimpong, and their children during this difficult time.Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has arrested three individuals in connection with the violent disturbances that occurred during the match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC that resulted in the death of one person.The suspects are Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Agyemang Duah Owusu and Kyeremeh Joseph.All three suspects are currently in Police custody assisting in the investigation.According to a Police statement, a search conducted in the room of suspect Agyemang Duah Owusu has led to the retrieval of two dresses with suspected bloodstains and an MP 23 pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition.
