
Sekondi, June 28, GNA - Two Sisters living in New Port Beach in Southern California of the United States of America have presented a cash donation to the only survivor of a rainstorm tragedy that claimed the lives of five siblings.
About a month ago, a heavy rain that hit the Sekondi Takoradi for more that eight hours brought a portion of the block house that accommodated the six siblings down and instantly killing five of them living Clement Arhin as the only survivor.
The two sisters, who read a Ghana News Agency reports on the disaster were touched by the incidents and have decided to adopt and take care of the surviving boy.
The donation was made through Reverend John Ernest Kwofie, the Chairman for the local Council of Churches and also the Regional Chairman of the Peace Council.
Mr. Kwamena Essiful Ansah, the family spokesman pledged the family's commitment to put all inflows into good use for the upkeep and educational needs of the boy.
