COP Mensah handing over the textbooks to Mark Ablor Nsoh
Retired Commissioner of Police (COP), George Alex Mensah, who has expressed his intention to run for the Bekwai seat on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has donated 400 textbooks to the Denyaseman Catholic Senior High School in the area.
The former top police officer also donated an undisclosed sum of money to the school to assist management in completing the institution’s ongoing project.
He described the gift as his widow’s mite contribution to improving teaching and learning at Denyaseman Catholic SHS.
COP Mensah used the opportunity to connect with first-year students, urging them not to play with their studies and to always stay with their books.
He promised to do more charity work if he is chosen to lead the constituency as the NPP candidate and subsequently become the MP for Bekwai
The headmaster of the school, Mark Ablor Nsoh, expressed gratitude to COP George Alex Mensah (rtd) for his kind gesture.
He called on the government to come to the school’s aid, noting that they had suffered neglect for some time now.
