Accra, Ghana — Tuesday, 11 November 2025 — PICCASO Awards the UK and Europe’s leading celebration of leaders, innovators, and changemakers in privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance arrives in Africa this December.
The acronym “PICCASO” which connotes Privacy, InfoSec, Compliance, Culture, Awareness, Strategy & Operations, was instituted by a UK-based, globally focused non-profit special interest group, led by experienced volunteers who are senior leaders in privacy and data protection. The platform recognises excellence in privacy, data protection, and governance. It honours the contributions of DPAs, privacy professionals, civil society, and innovators, spotlight homegrown solutions and Indigenous leadership.
The arrival of this prestigious awards gala was realised through a strong partnership with the Africa Digital Rights Hub (ADRH), as part of ADRH’s flagship Data Protection Africa Summit 2025.

The PICASSO Awards and Gala will be the climax of 2025 Data Protection Africa Summit on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, at the iconic Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra uniting Africa’s foremost public and private sector leaders, policymakers, innovators leaders, innovators, and changemakers in privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance under one roof.
