Seasons
Seasons may change
Seasons may Spring from its season to Summer
Summer may be sandwiched between Spring and Autumn
Autumn may whisper to Winter for some snowflakes
Winter may wither all before Spring would spring up another tale
Many may go out dancing
But the memories of changing seasons remain
Years
Years may come
Years may go
Years may tread through tears and fears
Through wear and tear
Through rot and decay
To end in a decade
In a century
In a millennium
Memories of years of yesteryear remain
Moments
Moments we dreaded with foes
Moments we cherished with friends
Moments we celebrated
Moments of failures and regrets
Memories of moments we dreaded…moments we cherished
Will remain
Even in moments uncertain
Mornings
Mornings that renewed our vows
Our voices
At the sound of the early cockrow
At the break of the new dawn
Mornings that renewed the memories of the day just gone by
Memories of many mornings gone by
Remain unbroken
Evenings
Evenings when we walked hand in hand
Evenings when we talked heart to heart
Evenings when we touched
Evenings when the moonlit night
Lit up the path we walked
Evenings when the moon’s light
Attended our hearty chats
Evenings when we took a trip to the moon lost in ourselves
When we returned after the sun’s noon
In an embrace
Memories of the evenings still remain
Trees
Trees we made friends with
Trees that kept our secrets
Trees we run to hide in
Trees
Those canopies of shade
Those that shaded sights from us
Those prying eyes
Those prying ears
Memories of trees of shade remain
Deeply rooted
Teardrops
Teardrops of tears we shed
Teardrops of joy we shared
Teardrops of joyful melancholy
Teardrops of tearful joy
Teardrops of joyous gratitude
Teardrop after teardrop may rain
But memories of teardrops of tears and joy remain
Dance
The dance we danced for romance
Romance we eked out cheek to cheek
Cheeks we brushed up for romance
Cheeks that blushed after romance
Romance we danced away in the dance
Dance of memories of romance that remain
Forever they remain
Songs
Sounds of songs we made
To welcome the new dawn
Songs we sang along till voices drowned
Songs of melody to sooth our pain
Songs that stood us up
As we were let down
Songs, songs, songs
Memories of songs we sang…rang on
On and on and on
Letters
Letters we wrote
Letters we read
Yours and mine
Letters and postcards
Letters and postcards we posted
Letters we posted to you and me
Memories of letters to you and me
Memories remain posted
Death
The inevitable hangover
Hangs over shoulders with every breath
Breathes for every neck to shudder
Death
The ominous dent
So bent to plot Death
Death to all history
Death to all Memory
Eternally
