Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko says his side will approach Saturday’s Ghana Premier League clash against Hohoe United with a clear game plan.
The league leaders travel to the Hohoe Sports Stadium for the Week 8 encounter, determined to maintain their position at the top of the table.
Speaking to Medi TV ahead of the fixture, Tanko admitted that Hohoe United’s home form and quality make the match a challenging assignment.
He praised their tactical organisation and coaching, stressing that Medeama will need to be disciplined and purposeful to secure victory.
“They are a very good side with a very good coach, and we saw them in their first match against Hearts of Oak,” Tanko said.
“We have watched them, and so definitely we are going to map up a strategy that we think will overcome them.”
Tanko, who guided Medeama to the league summit with a string of consistent performances, said his team’s preparation would focus on nullifying Hohoe’s attacking threats while exploiting weaknesses on the counter.
Saturday’s fixture is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. at the Hohoe Sports Stadium.
Medeama lead the standings after seven rounds, while Hohoe United occupy tenth place.
