Black Princesses have commenced preparations in Accra for the second edition of the WAFU B U20 Girls Cup, set to take place in Benin from November 7 to 17, 2025.
The team is currently holding training sessions at the University of Ghana Stadium as part of their build-up to the regional tournament, which also serves as key preparation for the upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Head coach Charles Sampson and his technical team are using the competition to fine-tune their tactics ahead of Ghana's third-round World Cup qualifier against South Africa in February 2026.
Ghana will enter the WAFU tournament as defending champions, having won the maiden edition hosted in Kumasi in 2023. The Princesses lifted the trophy after defeating arch-rivals Nigeria 3-1 on penalties in a thrilling final.
This year’s edition will feature three nations and promises to offer valuable exposure and competitive action for Ghana’s young talents as they continue their preparations for global qualification.
