Nana Agyemang Badu Duah I, chief of Kunsu in the Ahafo Ano South West district, of the Ashanti region, has donated two Hygiene Point 99 motorbikes with other logistics worth GH¢220,000 to the Environment Department of the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly.
It is meant to help the Assembly to champion sanitation and hygienic environment in the area.
According to the chief, environmental hygiene is paramount in the fight against communicable and non-communicable diseases, hence the need for everybody in their own way to contribute and prioritise safeguarding of the environment and treat it as critical.
The chief appealed to the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly to support his ongoing two storey modern state-of-art police station block he initiated to enhance security situation in the town and the surrounding communities.
Mr. Joseph Frimpong Bonsu, the District Chief Executive commended Nana Agyemang Badu Duah II for the kind gesture, adding that the items have come at the right time and would go a long way to help in diverse ways especially in the security and sanitation sector.
He described Kunsuhene as a development oriented chief who has the welfare of the people at heart and called on other chiefs, individuals and corporate organisations to emulate the chief’s shining example.
