Ghana coach Otto Addo has sent a strong message to the players of the Black Stars ahead of their penultimate game in the World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic.
The Black Stars could have wrapped up their place at the World Cup in North America next year during the September international window.
However, a draw in N'Djamena against Chad denied the four-time African champions early qualification but ahead of the match against CAR, Addo has warned against complacency, urging his players to remain focused till the final whistle.
"Yeah, I just hope that we learn out of the experience in Chad, and we have to take it serious to the last minute. We have to fight defensively, especially to the last minute. Surely, I know we have our offensive strength and we will create chances and we have to score," he said at the pre-match presser.
"And I'm pretty much sure we will score, but it's very, very important that everybody's on their toes to the last minute. And like I said, we took a lot of learnings from Chad and I have a very, very good feeling that we can go to zero in this game and we'll be able to score one or two goals," he added.
Depending on other results, Ghana could book their place at the World Cup victory over CAR on Wednesday.
