Ghanaian defender Lalas Abubakar has stated his readiness to play a role in helping FC Dallas advance to the playoffs of the 2025 Major League Soccer.
The Texas-based club are on the verge of securing one of the spots for the playoffs and will face former champions LA Galaxy in their next match.
Abubakar has been a key figure for Dallas since joining The Bulls at the start of the season, spearheading their quest for the title this season.
“I feel ready for anything on the field,” Abubakar told World Soccer Talk. “The coaches know what they get from me whether I play right back, left back, center, or part of a back three. I’m always ready to help the team succeed, whether it’s starting or coming in for the final minutes.”
The versatile defender has enormous experience playing in the league after spells at Columbus Crew and Colorado Rapids.
Abubakar recently received his American citizenship after a decade in the United States, but remains eligible to play for Ghana at senior level.
