Ghana Football Association Communications Director Henry Asante Twum has revealed that Black Stars coach Otto Addo used the team’s meeting to revisit lessons from the Chad game.
According to Asante Twum, the coach wanted the players to remember how overconfidence cost them in the previous match, ensuring the same mistake isn’t repeated in their next encounter against the Central African Republic.
"They all know that the game is on the heart of everyone so they are looking at what happened in the Chad game we felt that it is Chad we are done we will win no matter what. Then the result ended in a draw that is what we are using to advise ourselves so this morning when the coach held a meeting with the squad he reminded them of that particular incident that happened in Chad," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com
"He also told them how important is it for everyone to tune the mind very well and towards victory against Central African Republic mentally, physically, psychologically we are doing everything so that the players will go to the pitch with the right mental fortitude and attitude to fight for the points. because they know that once we win tomorrow the dice is cast so that the game in Accra will be a crowning moment for us,"
Ghana currently tops Group I with 19 points as they chase a fifth World Cup appearance.
