Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu found the net twice as Viktoria Plzen were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw by Hradec Kralove in the Czech 1. Liga on Sunday afternoon.
Adu equalized just before halftime with a composed finish in added time and later restored Plzen’s lead in the 89th minute, showing sharp instincts inside the box. His performance earned cheers from home fans at the Doosan Aréna, even though the team could not hold on for the win as Jakub Kucera struck deep into stoppage time to level for Hradec Kralove.
The 22-year-old striker worked tirelessly throughout the match, playing the full 90 minutes and registering five shots, one of which hit the woodwork. Despite losing ten duels, Adu’s attacking presence proved crucial in keeping Plzen competitive.
Adu has now scored three goals in eleven league appearances this season, continuing to prove his worth in the Czech top flight. Viktoria Plzen will next face Bohemians 1905 on October 18.
