Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, says Black Stars' upcoming game against Central African Republic could be a tricky tie.
In the Matchday 9 games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Ghana will be hosted by Central African Republic at the Stade d'Honneur de Meknes on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Asante Twum said they expect a tricky tie, but the playing body will do everything possible to get the needed results.
"The game against Central African Republic (CAR) will be a tricky one, but we don't want to experience what happened in Chad again, so we must do everything possible to win this game," he said.
He further stressed that they would want to use the final game against Comoros in Accra as a crowning moment.
"CAR is fighting for nothing, and that is why it is tricky. We must get this done to make the final game against Comoros a crowning moment for the team and the entire country, he added.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars on Sunday, October 5, opened camp in Casablanca for the game. Ghana will host Comoros on Sunday, October 12.
The Black Stars are aiming to secure their fifth Mundial qualification, having played in 2006, 2010, 2014 and in 2022 in Germany, South Africa, Brazil and Qatar respectively.
