Alfreton Town have announced the signing of experienced Ghanaian forward, Joe Dodoo.
Manager Billy Heath has been working tirelessly to strengthen his Reds squad ahead of the new campaign and is pleased to have secured the services of the 30-year-old Ghanaian striker.
Dodoo, who represented England at Under-18 level in 2013, first rose to prominence after progressing through the Leicester City Academy. He made a dream senior debut in August 2015, scoring a remarkable hat-trick in a 4-1 EFL Cup victory over Bury. His impressive performance earned him a Premier League debut the following weekend, coming on as a substitute in Leicester’s 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth.
He continued to shine in the League Cup, scoring in the next round against West Ham United, before enjoying a loan spell at Bury. At the end of the 2015/16 season, Dodoo was released, having been part of Leicester City’s historic Premier League title-winning squad.
Alfreton Town are excited to welcome Joe Dodoo to the Impact Arena and look forward to seeing his experience and quality make a big impact in the upcoming season.
