Former Hearts of Oak defender Dan Quaye has drawn comparison between former coach Aboubakar Ouattara and current manager for the Phobians Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
The former Black Stars assistant coach recently joined the Ghanaian giants, replacing Ivorian gaffer Aboubakar Ouattara at the end of the 2024/25 football campaign.
Ouattara has transition to the technical advisor role for the Board of Directors of the Ghanaian giants.
The former Asante Kotoko and Black Maidens coach penned a two-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2027.
Dan Quaye was in attendance when Hearts of Oak inflicted a 2-0 victory over Heart of Lions to annex the 2025 Homowo Cup on Sunday.
After the game, the former Ghana defender emphasized improvement under coach Didi Dramani as compared to Ouattara’s era.
“I see a lot of positives in the team going into the new season. I’m confident Hearts of Oak will finish among the top four in the league next season”
The Phobians enjoyed a fairly good campaign during the 2024/25 Ghanaian football season. Despite missing out on a trophy, the team’s top-four finish in the Ghana Premier League was an improvement from the previous campaign, where the team almost suffered relegation.
After the improvement, Hearts of Oak are now aiming to win the Ghana Premier League in the 2025/26 season under the new coach.
The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League will kick off on the weekend of September 12.
