Ghana international Elisha Owusu has opened up about his ambition for the 2025/26 French Ligue 1 season.
The midfielder was a key part of the AJ Auxerre side during last season and led the team to gain promotion to the top-flight as the captain of the season.
In that campaign, Elisha Owusu scored one goal and provided three assists to help the team.
Now in the French Ligue 1, Elisha Owusu says his target is to score more goals and provide more assists than he did last season.
On the club level, Owusu wants to assist AJ Auxerre to finish higher in the league table at the end of the campaign.
“Last season, I scored one goal, so now more than one. I made three assists, now more than three. Last season, we were 11th in the league, so better than 11.
“The priority is stay in the league. After that, we see what God brings us,” Elisha Owusu said in an interview with Flashscore.
The midfielder was in action for AJ Auxerre over the weekend and helped the team to secure a 1-0 win against Lorient in their opening fixture of the Ligue 1 season.
