S.D. Dombo’s Nephew Declares Support For Bryan

A direct nephew of the late S.D. Dombo, Salia Stephen Dafaa, from the Jirapa Constituency in the Upper West Region, has declared his support for New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, describing him as the party’s surest bet for victory in the 2028 general elections.

Mr. Salia Dafaa made the declaration when Dr. Bryan Acheampong, who is also the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, toured the Jirapa Constituency as part of his campaign ahead of the NPP’s presidential primary scheduled for January 31, 2026.

Welcoming the aspirant to the Upper West Region, Mr. Salia Dafaa highlighted his lineage to the late S.D. Dombo, a founding figure of the Danquah-Busia political tradition.

“I am very grateful to welcome Honourable Bryan Acheampong to the Upper West Region. I am a direct nephew of the late S.D. Dombo of blessed memory,” he stated.

According to Mr. Salia Dafaa, after carefully listening to the political message shared by the Abetifi legislator during his tour of the region, he was convinced Dr. Bryan Acheampong possesses the leadership qualities needed to steer the NPP to victory in 2028.

“What I want to say is that after listening to the political message Honourable Acheampong has shared in the Upper West, I am fully convinced that he is the only man who can lead the NPP to victory in 2028,” he said.

Mr. Salia Dafaa, therefore, formally pledged his support to Dr. Bryan Acheampong and urged residents of the Upper West Region to rally behind his candidacy in the upcoming primaries.

He specifically encouraged delegates to vote for Dr. Acheampong, who occupies number two on the ballot.

“I am by this declaration pledging my full support to Honourable Acheampong, and I am appealing to the entire Upper West Region to support him so that together we can bring victory to the NPP in 2028,” he added.

He further assured the aspirant of the region’s loyalty and support, expressing confidence that the Upper West would not be forgotten should Dr. Acheampong eventually lead the party and win power.

“We are fully behind you. The whole Upper West is behind you, and we are confident that when you come to power, you will not forget the Upper West,” he said.
