The Circuit Court in Accra, presided over by Her Honour Susana Eduful, has granted bail in the sum of GH¢800,000 to a 55-year-old businessman, Francis Appeynarh, who is facing charges of conspiracy and defrauding by false pretence.
Appeynarh is accused of defrauding a woman, Gifty Ndoma, of GH¢850,000 under the pretext of purchasing 3,000 bags of maize. The alleged incident took place in August 2025 at Tema, within the Greater Accra Region.
The court heard that Appeynarh, together with three alleged accomplices — Boakye (A2), Samir Kazi (A3), and Baffour (A4) — who are all currently at large, conspired to obtain the maize from the complainant under false pretences. The accused parties allegedly placed an order with the intention of defaulting on payment.
According to court documents, the accused persons acted together to defraud Ms. Ndoma, who resides at Ejura in the Ashanti Region. They allegedly convinced her to deliver the 3,000 bags of maize with a promise of payment, but failed to honour the agreement.
During the hearing, Her Honour Susana Eduful granted Appeynarh bail with two sureties, one of whom must be justified.
The prosecutor informed the court that efforts are underway to apprehend the three accomplices who are currently on the run.The case has been adjourned September 23, 2925 for his plea to be taken.
