Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has showered praise on Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, describing him as a “special player” following his match-winning performance for Bournemouth.
Semenyo inspired the Cherries to a 3-1 comeback victory over Fulham at a rain-drenched Vitality Stadium on Friday night.
After Ryan Sessegnon gave the visitors the lead in the 70th minute, the Ghana international equalised with a brilliant solo goal just eight minutes later. He then turned provider for Justin Kluivert’s thunderous strike before rounding off the night with a composed finish to complete his brace.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Hargreaves lauded the 25-year-old’s impact and growing influence in the Premier League.
“Semenyo? He is a special guy,” Hargreaves said. “Bournemouth have so many weapons, and Semenyo is just a special player.”
Semenyo’s brace took his tally to six goals and three assists this season â underlining his status as one of Bournemouth’s standout performers.
He will now turn his focus to international duty with Ghana, who are set to face Central African Republic and Comoros in their final round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers later this month.
