Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku marked his return to the Black Stars squad in style with a brilliant goal for Leicester City in their 3-1 victory over Swansea City in the English Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The 21-year-old, who has been recalled by coach Otto Addo for Ghana’s crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros, reminded fans of his quality with a thunderous strike from the edge of the box, his third goal of the season.
Leicester took an early lead through Jordan James in the 13th minute, but Swansea equalised in the 70th minute courtesy of Adam Idah’s calm finish. Just seven minutes later, Issahaku restored the Foxes’ lead with a stunning effort that left the goalkeeper helpless. He almost grabbed a brace moments later when another powerful attempt rattled the crossbar.

Issahaku’s performance was a timely reminder of his growing influence since recovering from a long-term anterior cruciate ligament injury. His display helped Leicester end a four-game winless run and move up to third place in the league table.
The former Sporting CP winger will now turn his attention to international duty, hoping to inspire Ghana to crucial victories in their World Cup qualifying campaign.
