Patrick Agyemang made his presence felt once again for Derby County, setting up the equalizer in their 1-1 draw against Wrexham in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The American-Ghanaian striker, starting his third league game of the season, played with confidence and energy, delighting the traveling fans before making way in the 74th minute.
The match at the STÅK Cae Ras was tightly contested. Wrexham struck first in the 59th minute when Lewis O’Brien rose to meet Issa Kaboré’s cross, heading beyond the Derby goalkeeper to give the home side the lead.
But Derby responded through Agyemang’s determination. In the 72nd minute, he rose highest to flick on a header into the path of Ben Brereton Diaz. The Chilean forward wasted no time, smashing a right-footed effort into the top corner to level the score.
Agyemang now has two assists in just three Championship appearances, underlining his growing influence in the team. Derby, who sit close to the danger zone after seven rounds, will next face Charlton Athletic on September 30 as they look to turn draws into wins.
