Players, coaches, referees, and officials of the 2025 KGL U-17 Inter-Regional Championship took part in a one-day medical seminar on Wednesday, September 24, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE).
The session was designed to equip participants with vital knowledge on health, safety, and emergency response during competitions. It also included a special guidance and counselling session led by renowned neurosurgeon Dr Dickson Bandoh, focusing on player wellbeing and psychological preparedness.
The programme was facilitated by Dr Christian Baah, head of the medical team and medical officer for both the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF). He was supported by a team of medical professionals who worked to ensure the safety and welfare of everyone involved in the talent discovery championship.
The tournament now moves into the semi-final stage on Thursday, September 25, with Greater Accra set to face Ashanti Region, while Central Region lock horns with Western Region at the GSCE.
Winners from the two ties will progress to the final, scheduled for Saturday, September 27, at the McDan Teshie Sports Complex. With the stakes higher than ever, fans can expect an exciting climax to this year’s edition of the championship.
