The head coach of Nations Football Club, Kassim Mingle Ocansey, has emphasised that the team is keen on fighting for the Ghana Premier League title in the 2025/26 football season.
The team came close to clinching the title last season but missed out after dropping points in the final stretch of games.
This season, Coach Ocansey insists that his team has no plan to simply compete but wants to be crowned champions at the end of the campaign.
“We are preparing to go for the ultimate. No one comes to fight to say I’m going to lose. It’s the title every team is playing for. We are not playing for playing sake. We are targeting the ultimate,” Kassim Mingle Ocansey told journalists in a post-match interview after his side defeated Swedru All Blacks in Week 1.
Following the victory against All Blacks, Nations FC are now preparing for an encounter against Aduana Stars in Week Two of the new league season.
A win will be crucial to the title ambitions of Nations FC, although there will still be a lot of work to be done to achieve that goal.
