Head coach of Hohoe United Abdul Bashiru Tijani has vowed to upset Hearts of Oak ahead of their Ghana Premier League opener on Friday.
The Premier League debutants takes on the Phobians at the Accra Sports Stadium tonight, with President John Dramani Mahama expected to be in attendance.
Bashiru is no new to the Ghanaian top-flight, having had spells with Legon Cities and Hearts of Oak. The fast-rising tactician previously served as both assistant and interim head coach at Hearts of Oak before taking charge at Hohoe United.
However, Bashiru, who is bent on making name for himself has set sights on upsetting Hearts of Oak at their own background.
“Ghanaians will feel the presence of Hohoe United in the Ghana Premier League this season. I’m not under pressure because I have been there as a coach of Hearts of Oak before. I’m going into this game just to make name for myself” he said.
It promises to be a thrilling clash as both teams will be yearning for maximum points in an attempt to begin the top-flight on a good note.
