Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito says he is fully aware of the pressure on his side to deliver the Ghana Premier League title as the 2025/26 season kicks off this weekend.
The Porcupine Warriors open their campaign on Saturday, September 13, with a tricky away fixture against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
Zito noted that his squad heads into the season with limited rest following a demanding off-season, but stressed that the club’s ambition remains unchanged, to win every match and ultimately claim the league crown after finishing third last term.
“This is the third time [being with Kotoko as a coach], so I know what is at stake, so we only have to work hard to achieve because Kotoko is not a club that can succumb to any other result apart from a win, so we will do our best,” he said.
Kick-off on Saturday is set for 15:00 GMT.
