Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, Samuel Sarfo Duku, has assured that the club are determined to leave a positive mark ahead of their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors, who last competed in the tournament in 2022, booked their place in the CAF inter-club competition after securing the FA Cup title last season.
Kotoko will face Nigerian side Kwara United in the preliminary round of the Confederation Cup later this month.
Having struggled to go past the group phase in recent years, Sarfo Duku, speaking on Asempa FM, assured that they will not just participate in the competition but are aiming to make an impact.
"We are a football giant in Africa, and we are just not going to participate in the competition," he said.
"Against Kwara United, you might think it is a walkover, which is not possible, but as a club, we are determined to go past them and focus on the next challenge and make an impact, and that is our target," he added.
The Prcupine Warriors will host Kwara United at the Accra Sports Stadium between September 19 and 21, before travelling to Nigeria for the second leg, scheduled from September 26 to 28.
