Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo was filled with excitement and disappointment after featuring in the La Liga clash against European heavyweights Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old was making his second appearance in the Spanish topflight for Real Oviedo, who are still chasing their first win of the campaign following their promotion to the top division.
Sibo struck the post in a decent display against Los Blancos but the capital-based club were too strong for the newcomers as they thumped them 3-0 at Estadio Carlos Tartiere. French superstar Kylian Mbappe netted a brace before second half substitute Vinicius Jr sealed victory late in the match.
"A bittersweet feeling after so much effort during the 90 minutes. Thanks for the great atmosphere yesterday," posted Sibo on Instagram.
While admitting mixed emotions, the hardworking midfielder remains confident of securing a first win as soon as possible.
"We'll experience our first victory together soon," he added.
Sibo a cult-hero at Oviedo following his outstanding run with the club will be hoping the team maintains their status in the league at the end of the season.
Real Oviedo will welcome Real Oviedo to the Carlos Tartiere Stadium on August 30.
