
Italy-born Ghanaian forward Martin Boakye has joined Turkish outfit Boluspor in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old forward signed a one-year deal to join the second-tier side after leaving Thailand giants Buriram United.
Boakye arrives with enormous experience and will be expected to play a role in Boluspor's quest for topflight promotion this season.
"Our club has signed a one-year contract with Martin Boakye. Born on February 10, 1995, in Valdagno, Italy, the Italian-Ghanaian striker began his youth career at Ponte dei Nori and Solesinese. He began his professional career in 2016 at Kitzbühel in Austria, before transferring to Hohenems, Kitzbühel again, and then Jeunesse Esch in Luxembourg," wrote Boluspor announcing his capture.
"He played for Slaven Belupo in Croatia in 2020, and for Andijon and AGMK in Uzbekistan in 2021. In 2024, he played for Qingdao Hainiu in the Chinese Super League. In 2025, he transferred to Thailand and joined Buriram United. He won the championship, ASEAN Club Championship, Thailand Cup, and Thailand League Cup with Buriram United in the 2024â2025 season," added the club.
Boakye was handed his Boluspor debut in the league opener on Sunday against Vanspor FK. A game Boluspor lost 3-2 at home.
The former Slvaen Belupo striker enjoyed a successful run in Thailand, where he won the league, the cup and super cup with Buriram United.
