

An audit report by the private accounting firm Delloite and Touche that detailed the financial dealings surrounding the controversial National Cathedral has confirmed some of the already known deeds and revealed some unknown ones that show the stark lark of responsibility, poor sense of judgement and no sense of accountability that went into the project.
The financial records are not a proper reflection of what should be associated with a religious edifice of the nature of a national cathedral.
The details raise many questions about religion, public service and accountability, but more importantly, it raises questions about the relationship between the state and the church and whether the state should be getting involved in religious activities.
