The Minister of Education, Mr. Haruna Iddrisu, is expected to appear before parliament to respond to steps the ministry is taking to curb the use of fake PhDs.
He is expected to provide a response to the question in the provisional order paper containing a list of questions for Wednesday July 16, 2025.
The question on fake certificates, which stands in the name of the MP for Tema Central, Mr. Charles Forson, is aimed at getting some response from the Minister on the use of fake educational credentials such as PhD, among others.
The Minister would also be responding to a number of questions from different MPs including one on measures the ministry has implemented to prevent examination malpractice and cancellations of examination papers, especially for BECE and WASSCE examinations.
Mr. Iddrisu will also tell the house when government would complete and operationalize the Takoradi Technical University campus at Aketekyi in the Ahanta West constituency, which has remained abandoned for the past eight years.
Again, he would be telling parliament the plans the ministry has to adopt and support the Wechiau TVET school, which is the only technical and vocational education and training institution in the Wa West district.
The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources is also expected in parliament tomorrow to respond to a question on plans to establish an effective permit-issuance system and tracking mechanism for imported excavators to operationalize the directive of the President.
The Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister would also take her turn to tell the house the number of sanitary pads distributed in all regions of Ghana under the free sanitary pad initiative launched in April this year.
