Competitors recruited from Accra, Takoradi, Kumasi and Tamale for the Malta Guinness 'Maltavator' Challenge Season II will battle it out at the national finals on Saturday at the Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra.
The contenders, numbering 40, came from the zonal competitions held in November, 2018, will compete for the top prize of GH¢ 5,000.
First and second runners up would receive GH¢ 3,000 and GH¢ 2,000 respectively.
According to the organisers, each of the 40 contenders stands the chance to earn a spot on the team to represent Ghana at the Pan African Championship in South Africa in February.
The Ghana team would compete against Nigeria, Cameroun, Kenya, Ethiopia and Cote d'Ivoire for the ultimate $20,000 prize money.
Last year, two Ghanaians picked up the first and second runner-up positions in the Pan-African championship which was won by Ethiopia's Keariam Abera.
The Brands Manager of Malta Guinness, Roland Ofori said he was happy about the sheer passion and belief the competition has stirred among Ghanaians across all 10 regions.
The 'Maltavator Challenge' is strength, endurance and obstacle game aimed at discovering and rewarding physically and mentally fit persons.
