The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that it has disengaged all volunteers across its offices as part of a restructuring initiative.
The decision which takes effect from February 28, 2025 is contained in a letter on February 25, 2205 and signed by Felix Gyamfi, Director General for NSA.
According to the statement, an exception will be made for districts with only one staff member, where a single volunteer will be retained to assist.
NSA says persons managing vacant districts will be allowed to keep one assistant, cleaner, catering staff, and farm personnel to ensure continued operations.
The NSA expressed appreciation for the dedication, hard work, and commitment of the affected volunteers throughout their service.
The communiqué further instructed the Heads of Departments (HODs), Unit Heads, and Regional Directors to retrieve all NSA property, including laptops, documents, and motorbikes, from the outgoing volunteers before the deadline.
